Junior Client Financial Analyst New York, NY

 

GCI Health is looking for a Junior Client Financial Analyst for our New York office. This Junior Client Financial Analyst supports the Finance team in all financial and operational functions for the GCI Health US offices.  This highly visible role reports directly to the Finance VP and will provide the chosen candidate with an opportunity to interact will all levels of management including the Chief Executive Officer, President and Senior Management. This position is currently based in the Flatiron District of Manhattan.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for month end journal entries.
  • Responsible for weekly billability and revenue reporting.
  • Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process and reporting including P&L and balance sheet.
  • Prepare monthly analysis and reconciliations on several general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with the Company’s reporting process to parent company via Cartesis.
  • Maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act requirements and liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Special projects and ad hoc requests as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing multiple large-scale client relationships and engagements. Ensuring that the account and production teams on those accounts and projects are driving towards a singular vision and are equipped with all the information, tools and support necessary to execute best-in-industry digital strategies and experiences.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to clearly present ideas both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects on time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent PC skills including advanced proficiency in Excel (required) and Word. Experience with Maconomy and/or Cartesis a plus.
  • Self-starter who enjoys learning advanced PC skills and new software applications.
