Wendy Lund has been named Professional of the Year at the PRNews Platinum Awards. Through instilling in GCI Health staff to “dream bigger” and think differently, we’ve been able to continue the evolution of the agency’s offering and the exponential expansion of our client base. Her insights on work-life balance and gender equality in the workplace led her to become a contributing blogger for Working Mother. She’s also been called upon by various industry trades to provide thought-leadership on healthcare topics such as Zika virus and vaccines to agency topics such as employee engagement and building a strong company culture.
In addition, GCI Health received Honorable Mention for Midsize Agency of the Year and our work with Merck on America’s Diabetes Challenge garnered two honorable mentions in Best Media Event and Best PSA.
GCI Health is thrilled to announce our nominations in four categories for the PR News Platinum Awards. The agency has been named a finalist for Mid-size Agency of the Year; Wendy Lund, CEO, for PR Professional of the Year; and our work with Merck on America’s Diabetes Challenge for Media Event and PSA. Looking forward to the awards ceremony October 19th! http://www.platinumprawards.com/
GCI Health is inspired to make a difference for patients with diabetes. Over the past year, our work with Merck on America’s Diabetes Challenge and the Fasts About Fasting During Ramadan has garnered an extreme amount of industry recognition with six awards and three honorable mentions across various categories including Global PR Breakthrough, Global Healthcare Campaign of the Year, Rx Campaign of the Year, Multicultural Campaign of the Year, Best Use of PSA and Best Use of Marketing Communications. The creativeness of this program, and the ability of the team to bring in fresh thinking, year over year is a true testament to the longevity of award-winning work.
GCI Health has been shortlisted for International Agency of the Year for the upcoming Global PR Week awards. This acknowledgement is a special milestone for the agency, given they have only been truly international agency for just over two years with the launch of their European presence in late 2013. This fact speaks volumes for their current level of recognition and for their even greater potential internationally as they continue to grow.
The shortlist is a celebration of GCI Health’s achievements on both sides of the pond, with the criteria for this category being an agency with an owned presence in at least two markets. In addition, the agency is a finalist in the Healthcare category for MSD’s The Facts About Fasting During Ramadan campaign for the second year running with this awards program.
Winners will be announced in London on April 28.
GCI Health has been named 2015 Global Healthcare Public Relations Agency of the Year by the Holmes Report. This is an enormous accomplishment and is a true testament to the growth we’ve achieved, the wonderful talent on our team, the more integrated approach we are taking with our programs and the thought leadership we are producing.
On top of that, GCI Health has been selected as a winner in the Holmes Report Global SABRE Awards. Global SABRE winners are the “best of the best” in our industry, and are selected by The Holmes Report from among 5,000 entries submitted this year in their North America, EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Latin American awards competitions. A mere 40 are selected to receive Best Public Relations Campaigns in the World.
