NEW YORK, (March 15, 2022) – Today GCI Health announced the appointment of Nesa K. Johnson as its Global Chief People Officer. In this newly created role, Johnson will leverage her extensive experience in shaping forward-looking talent strategies to harness GCI Health’s people-first culture to attract top talent and elevate learning and development programs worldwide. Johnson will report to Kristin Cahill, Global CEO, GCI Group.
Johnson joins GCI Health from NBCUniversal, where she led people operations and strategy for TV and streaming productions as Vice President, Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. While there, she spearheaded the division’s efforts to increase and support diverse creative talent through new training programs and recruitment strategies. Prior to that, she helped Secureworks scale globally to 13 countries across North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. Johnson also previously held senior management positions at Edelman and Discovery Communications.

In 2021, GCI Health grew its global footprint with the opening of a new office in Tokyo, Japan, thus expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, which includes existing offices in Singapore and Hong Kong. In addition to a well-established presence in the U.K. and Germany, the agency also opened an office in Brussels, Belgium, furthering its public policy operations. This past year, GCI Health also established offices in the Middle East and India.
As part of her role, she will also have responsibilities for GCI Group agencies which include uncapped communications, Curation and Goodfuse.
