GCI Health Names Kristin Cahill President, North America

New York, NY – October 15, 2015 – GCI Health, a leading healthcare-focused global public relations agency, today announced that the agency has promoted Kristin Cahill to President, North America. Kristin was previously Executive Vice President and Market Leader of the New York office. In her new role, Kristin will oversee all operations of the growing agency, expand GCI Health’s client base, revenue and presence in North America and play an integral role in recruiting and retaining the best employees in the industry. Kristin will continue to partner with many of GCI Health’s client teams to create insight-driven, forward-thinking programming that leverages cutting-edge platforms, partners and technologies to drive brand awareness and change health behavior.
In a related move, Kristin will transition her role as New York Market Leader to Sherry Goldberg. In this role, Sherry will work closely with Kristin and Wendy Lund, GCI Health’s Chief Executive Officer, on the day-to-day management of the agency’s New York office and its integration with offices across the GCI Health network.
The agency also announced the promotions of Kim Sammons, to Executive Vice President, Director of Advocacy & Patient Engagement, and David Chadwick to Senior Vice President, Digital. Kim will continue to lead the Patients at the Center initiative, which aims to uncover the most innovative, effective ways of putting patients at the forefront of communication strategies within the healthcare industry. Since joining GCI Health nearly four years ago, Kim has also overseen the growth of the Atlanta Office, including expanding the scope of services it provides to existing clients and adding new client relationships across the region. David will continue to lead all digital initiatives across the agency and accounts, serving as a specialist for the evolving landscape of digital and social media activity in the healthcare arena. Since David joined GCI Health in 2014, he has focused on building out and overseeing a growing digital team, helping to significantly expand the agency’s digital offerings.

GCI Health Promotes Additional Senior Team Members
GCI Health also promoted two team members in its New York Office. Craig Heit has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Over the past six years Craig has been with GCI Health, he has managed widely covered FDA approvals, strategic communications and issues/crisis management for clients across a number of challenging therapeutic areas.
Erin Kaiserova has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Since joining GCI Health in 2013, Erin has taken a leadership role on a large, integrated account with multiple client and agency partners, and has played a crucial role in a number of new business wins, including an internal communications account, that has grown exponentially under her leadership.

GCI Health forged a partnership with Hearst women’s title Redbook and online health information source HealthyWomen.org. The HealthiHER Project is an attempt to better understand the health habits of women 30-60 years of age. As a first step in the project, there will be a survey of women in that demographic, addressing their healthcare decisions and needs.
