Tori Fort, EVP, GCI Health, Named to MM&M's Inaugural 40 Under 40 Class

02/11/2020

Tori Fort, EVP, GCI Health, has been named to MM&M’s inaugural class of 40 under 40. The recipients of this acknowledgement are considered the industry’s sharpest and most creative young minds across a range of employers: from pharma and biotech companies and agencies to device manufacturers, analytics firms and health media.

Tori has transformed GCI Health’s approach to oncology communications and early stage company development and is loved by her peers. She never refrains from sharing her passion for helping biotechs navigate the intricacies of establishing and building corporate profiles, translating complex science into stories that resonate with “the Street” and beyond, and because of this has played an invaluable role expanding the agency's business in this area.

Aside from the many attributes Tori brings to the agency, being the wife of a naval aviator, she volunteers hours to causes helping military families, from organizing care packages and support for impacted veterans and their families to advocating for better awareness and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder to lobbying for the Portable Certification of Spouses (PCS) act to help spouses transfer their job skills wherever the needs of the military may take them.

Tori started her career in grassroots advocacy and is inspired by ensuring people’s voices are heard. To that end, Tori volunteers with the Global Liver Institute Advocacy Academy and its trainee program and is a three-time invited speaker at the Global Liver Institute Advocacy Academy, teaching emerging patient advocates how to tell compelling stories to the media and members of Congress.

While others might shy away from the unknown, especially in the world of start-up healthcare organizations, Tori embraces any opportunity with a nimble and scalable mentality, inspiring those around her to see it as an adventure. As a leader, she combines passion and persistence with entrepreneurial instincts and an insatiable desire to learn. GCI Health is very lucky to have her and is so proud of her for receiving this incredible honor!

Tori will be recognized at the MM&M 40 under 40 awards ceremony in New York City on May 12, 2020.
