GCI Health Continues Strategic Growth with Key Hires

New York, NY – January 31, 2019 – GCI Health today announced the hiring of two senior experts in global public health and corporate communications, building on the company’s offerings in key areas of healthcare communications. After a year of significant growth in 2018, including the expansion of GCI Health’s media, digital and integrated marketing teams, these new hires will support the agency’s continued commitment to making a difference in all aspects of the healthcare industry.

Trey Watkins has joined GCI Health as Senior Vice President, leading the agency’s global health and corporate responsibility (CR) work. In his role, Trey will counsel some of the world’s most influential partners in their efforts to strengthen health systems, increase access to medicines and services, and provide sustainable solutions to global health challenges. Trey brings a strong understanding of the global health governance and policy landscape, with extensive experience in strategic communications, advocacy and multi-stakeholder partnerships across the United Nations (U.N.) system and nongovernmental organization space. He has previously helped lead advocacy efforts with the Roll Back Malaria Partnership at the World Health Organization, and most recently served as an advisor in the Executive Office of the U.N. Secretary-General, focusing on health policy and strategic partnerships.

She joins GCI Health from Golin, where she was Executive Director, Healthcare, managing business for clients across the healthcare spectrum in therapeutic area programming, government affairs and policy, corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement and internal communications.
