GCI Health Taps Lilit Bargar to Lead Its Corporate Practice

NEW YORK, December 13, 2023 — GCI Health today announced that corporate communications veteran Lilit Bargar has joined the agency as executive vice president, corporate practice lead. She will work with pharmaceutical leaders to build their corporate brands and reputations and implement strategies for above-brand storytelling and thought leadership.

Bargar is highly regarded for her work counseling pharmaceutical executives on corporate brand positioning, external engagement and awareness campaigns that have positively impacted public sentiment. Previously, Bargar served as executive vice president in the healthcare practice at Weber Shandwick, where she oversaw corporate thought leadership through executive communications for pharmaceutical clients. Prior to that, she served as group senior vice president at Marina Maher Communications with a specific focus on healthcare corporate communications.

“Healthcare organizations are placing more emphasis on their corporate brand and reputation than ever before,” said Kristin Cahill, Global CEO, GCI Group, to whom Bargar will report. “Lilit is a dynamic strategist and storyteller who will play a pivotal role in advancing our practice, helping to lead health companies and their executives as they navigate the complexities of today’s communications landscape and rise as leaders in their field.”

GCI Health’s corporate practice has experienced steady and consistent growth driven by client demand for communications partners deeply steeped in the healthcare industry and who can help build authentic approaches that elevate visibility and drive reputation among an increasingly diverse group of stakeholders.

“As pharmaceutical companies are working to deliver breakthroughs that will transform the healthcare space, they’re realizing that above-brand storytelling is critical for gaining deeper connections with stakeholders,” says Bargar. “I’m thrilled to join the deep bench of strategic thinkers at GCI Health to help existing and new clients uncover their unique narratives and bring them to life.”
